Sustainable and Efficient Processes Division Researcher.
Carlos Bald Garmendia has a PhD in Biological Sciences from the University of Navarra. Master’s Degree in Quality Management and Systems. A lead researcher at AZTI, Carlos is working in the field of sustainable and efficient processes, specifically in researching the recovery and reuse of by-products from food processing. He is involved in different regional and national R&D products with food companies and in 10 international projects in the field of developing new food and the recovery and reuse of by-products. He is the author and co-author of 11 scientific articles, 10 technical publications, 7 book chapters, 4 patents and over 30 contributions at conferences in his area of specialisation.
