Director of Innovation and Sustainability

Agustín Delgado (Spain, 1972) holds a PhD in Industrial Engineering.

(Comillas Pontifical University, Higher Technical School of Industrial Engineering [ICAI] and the National Distance Education University [UNED])

Agustín is a professional with more than twenty years’ experience who began his career in different railway and energy companies.

He joined Iberdrola in 2006 as the Director of Innovation and Sustainability, where he also  heads up the venture capital programme (PERSEO).

He has been a trustee for many technology companies and investment funds, noteworthy of which are Gamesa and the Neotec Fund (Spanish Venture Capital Investment Program).

His is also a distinguished member of:

  • The World Economic Forum (Davos), acting as an Energy Technologies World Council expert.
  • MIT’s Low Carbon Energy Centre (Massachusetts Institute of Technology).
