Timoteo de la Fuente

Timoteo is an Industrial Engineer and the person in charge of the Ecodesign Directive. Likewise, he follows up on the EU’s policies regarding the circular economy.

From 2012 to 2018, he worked as part of the European Commission’s Chemical Industry Unit. More specifically, he contributed to the Plastics Strategy. Prior to that, from 2006 to 2012, he was the Deputy Director-General for Sectoral Policy and Industrial Quality at the Ministry’s General Directorate of Industry. He worked as an Industry Adviser for the Permanent Representation of Spain in Brussels, has been the President of the ENAC National Accreditation Body, and participated in the design and implementation of the Spanish National Plan for Industrial Quality.
